I think you are having a problem with the concept you created. The concept has no focal point and because of that I think you are struggling on what to do with the big open area right in the foreground. That should be the focal point, but you did not concept it out yet, and you should.

Wow, that's really interesting concept, cool :D Though the jaw and neck of the model seem a lot broader than they would be on a chibi character like in the concept. They seem big in the concept but they still read as impish character, the head on the model looks like it belongs on something much bigger.
