Hello, I'm working on an aftermarket MPX SBR rifle model for a video game. I've started to create the high-poly barrel of the gun, of which has very small threading inside. I wanted to include this detail on the high-poly rather than try to create it using normal maps, but I've encountered a problem I have never had…
Hey guys! ZBrush novice here trying to get my hands dirty with the program but I've run into a bit of a snag with dynamesh. I need to perform some boolean cuts which, at least from what I've heard, is done via dynamesh. That works fine and all, however I also need to do some alpha masking, but after I turn something into a…
Hello. I have a problem with Zbrush Dynamesh Master. With some of my models Zbrush is dynameshing with too low polycount. Even if I set polycount to 10kk I sometimes end up with mesh with 2 - 3 kk poly and I can see with my bare eye that it is too low xd How can I make Zbrush Dynamesh Master to generate more polygons if…
That happens sometimes with me: Normally the problem is the thickness of the mesh, but also sometimes is not enough resolution in Dynamesh, thats also makes the polygons get crazy as hell when the dynamesh is applied and for the last try i normally go to: Deformation> Size (and increase for the max 1 time and then click in…
I loved the plugin when it was released. Since the 2021 release of ZBrush, I've noticed a large improvement in their current implementation of Dynamesh to the point that Dynamesh Master feels unnecessary. I may be wrong on that, it just seems the latest version of Dynamesh respects detail far more than its predecessor. It…
I want to try this workflow, but I have a few questions: From my understanding you start by sculpting the base form with dynamesh, then use zremesher, and then divide a few times to sculpt details onto the surface. But my question is: where in this process do you start to go asymmetrical? (while you are still working in…
Hi guys. Learning zbrush and have some things Im confused about. When to use dynamesh? Lets say I make a table in Maya, then bring into zbrush to add detail...why would I need dynamesh? Why can't I just divide my mesh as many times as I need to add the detail that I need? Isn't dynamesh for sculpting things in zbrush from…
Dynamesh basically removes all your subdivisions, and creates a new mesh with evenly distributed polys. Turning off dynamesh will not bring back your subdivs. if you want to bake normalmaps in ZB from a dynamesh mesh, you will need to transfer your sculpted detail to a new mesh with subdivs. Fastest way to do this is to…
Hey, excuse the disgustingly noob question/fail - this is my first attempt at zbrush... I only figured out what dynamesh did yesterday... my problem is that I've been using dynamesh to divide the model and go up in resolution rather than zreshmeshing and then dividing at an early stage (I didn't know and only just found…
I'm tired of searching. I have two dynamesh objects. One I can change the resolution by using the slider and remeshing, the other I can not change the resolution of. What's the magic button I need to push to make sure I can move up and down resolutions in dynamesh similar to SDiv?! THnx.
