Hello! I'm doing an independanr project for a class, and learning about modular modeling for Unreal. I slapped some of them together in Maya to make basic taverns as examples/to make sure the models blend well together. These are all the hp models that haven't been baked or textured yet, but please let me know what you…
Hi guys Im currently working on a cabin log environment in ce3. I have two possible textures for the cabin log, which do u think should i go for? I still need to add vertex blending to add variation/dirtyness to textures. I will post a full work thread of the project soon.
so i kind of cracked polypaintiing, make niceely ccoloured models and then baking the colours to a texture which works fine. the problem is the baked normal map doesn't quite match up , so the colurs I so painstakinly painted around complex shapes or used alphas don't quite line up, giving colour bleed. anyway around this?
I've been working on another modular dungeon for some time now. Compared to the previous project, I made it very difficult to add vertex painting blend and parallax occlusion. There will be a lot more props. This time the main source of inspiration was Gothic architecture and Witcher 3. Key references: Here's what's at the…
Im using Unreal 4. #1 is a tiling rock texture, #2 is a glacier wall texture and number 3 is a snow buildup texture. I was wondering what you guys thought of the breakdown and If I should build a blend shader with 3 channels or should I just have a bunch of separate planes with the textures assigned to them? Thanks!
So I'm testing out bodypaint for editing my seams but when I clone the seams my end results always end up being blurry. You can obviously tell were I was trying to blend the seams. Is there any way to get results as you would in Photoshop with the spot healing brush? Thank you, Zack dembinski
Hi Polycount, I am trying to sort out my Noisemaker preview box, it's hard to see what I am actually changing because it's blending in with the menu behind it. Is there anyway that I can change the opacity/position of the preview box so that I can see what I'm doing? Thanks in advance :)
Hi, Teaching myself painted textures without AO or Curvature maps for guidance so am looking for some good tutorials that go over different tricks and methods. Below are some attempts at painted textures please give pointers. Thanks. Wood Tiles, rocks where created to tile but due to colorization are now not tiling and…
TL;DR - Latest state: Turret concept. Some very rough ideas: I like this photo of a Marco Polo sheep skull and want to do something with it: So I drew this: But it looks like Brian Blessed doing a cosplay of Marowak. More development needed. Also a sketch of what the den could look like.
Finished a short mini tutorial on how to make zip ties, displaying 3 methods of creating them! Wit h the last one being a semi-procedural way. I've also made the .blend file for the last method available on my discord
