1. aligning geometry with buildings made in radiant 2. creating geometry that snaps to a grid so the object's bounds are exactly on that grid when exported to radiant 3. applying an FFD and snapping it to the grid to make an object's bounds rounded to the nearest grid unit.
Hi guy, Im trying to mirror a subtool across (what was in maya) the world axis. My problem is that the pivot of my objects is wrong and want to change it to what will be the center of the object as a whole. I imported only half the model from maya which is probably the reason my mirror point is wrong. Any help would be…
Hello I am wondering if there is any tool that creates an automatic polygonal merging between two separate objects, , I am not just talking of attaching an object to the other but like have to meshes and get them closer and when enough close merge the two models into one like if I put together two drops of mercury or the…
Hey I was wondering if anybody can help I am trying to find a way to compare the position of 2 rigidbodys and when one object is directly above the other destroy the one underneath. I could use hitboxes but with having multiple instantiated objects I think comparing the positions may be the better way to go.
Trying to add Vegetation X-Trees and have selected 'Follow Terrain and Snap to Objects'. When painting in the x_trees_10 object my trees appear to be all on the same height level, and not following the terrain. Very new to Cryengine, but am following the Digital Tutors training, and yet still can't see what I have missed.
I didn't realize it until testing, but it appears that light linking using channels allows me to dictate which objects are affected by which lights but no matter what I will always get a shadow from "unaffected" objects when I bake the lighting. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong though. How do I correct this shadow?
So I have this fire particle that is burning over a tree static mesh. Everything looks fine, BUT every once in a while the particles will "pop" off and disappear behind the object then "pop" back in front of the object so you can see them again. I suspect this is Z fighting, but I'm wondering if there's a way to fix this.…
Hey, Is there a way to project a decal on multiple objects in 3ds max that is viewable in the viewport? Everything I find either mentions extra uv channels or to use a light with a projector map, but that isn't viewable in the viewport either. Ideally I want to be able project any decal texture on any number of objects. Is…
trying to figure out how i can get the XYZ coordinates of where a object has taken damage. prferiable in kismet but if it can easily be done in uscript in a way that can sent back to kismet that works too. trying to make a material effect for hits, on a certain object and i need to to be able to feed in the vector of the…
Hi, Can somebody point me to a doc/wiki/forum where the dynamesh's resolution is explained? I'm having hard time understanding why resolution of f.e. 128 can give totally different mesh densities on two different objects of similar size. Does the fact of heavy down scaling the object before dynameshing it matter? AQ
