Well, hi people! this is my first post here! I'm have some questions about the poly size used this days in games such as "Skyrim" and "The Witcher 2" for exemple. whats the average triangulations in complexe scenes? and thinking about all the environment together, what about the textures and effects(fog, particles and…
LATEST UPDATE: (WIP charachter) Hi polycount! :) I thought it be about time for me to make a thread for my work here. I'm working on a small scene where a dinosaur chases a man on a motorcycle. I will keep the environment simple as I want to focus on the character, motorcycle and the dinosaur. Feel free to follow my…
Hey guys. I recently participated in IndieSpeedRun, and after the project I decided to re-use some of the assets that we had created to make a new scene. Just a show-case type thing, really. This is my first scene and I would really like your feed back. As you can see, I am having a lot of fun with Decals right now haha.…
Here is a scene I have been working on. I still have to build the scene, I am just working on all my assets first and getting the mood right before I put it all together. My lighting is not final at all nor is the placement of assets. My focal point is going to be the Mausoleum and tree. I have a couple more assets to…
Hi Everybody, I just recently finished a 6 week CGMA course with Jeremy Huxley on plants and vegetation, and I wanted to share my scene and renders. I learned a lot of techniques in that class on texturing and foliage creation. Jeremy was an excellent instructor! This was my first experience building a scene in Unreal…
Been working on this here and there whenever i have some free time, i wanted to do something simple that i could finish. I think im at a point where critiques and suggestions could take this scene to the next level :) Below is an animated progression gif that i created to show the progression of the scene: Cheers, Arman
Hello Polycounters! This scene is actually made for the WOW art contest but I couldn't summit this one because of my stupid mistake (Misunderstood its deadline date) :( but I plan to developing this scene much more from now. Any C&C's (especially about composition, texture details, color matches and lighting) are welcome !!
That looks fantastic! A few things i noticed, the candles in the chandelier in your reference do not sit straight up, most of them are pointed at odd angles. If you adjust their orientation this would help push the overall unkempt feel of the scene. The Chandelier itself is much more thin and long, taking up much less…
Studying Games Art at the University of Herts; my corner room scene project is based on a scene from the Great Gatsby. This movie has some seriously beautiful set design and hopefully I can replicate some of it :)
I stumbled upon a handy little script that I thought some of you might like. It basically automates the whole moving objects to the 0,0,0 position and back during export which is great if you have multiple models in one scene file. Another nice addition to the script is copying all of the transformation data from a 3D…
