Hi all, Just was reading this article http://www.thiagoklafke.com/modularenvironments.html and was wondering how he UVed the straight texture on to circular one without stretching. Its annoying when you know how to do something but something comes along and makes you look bad. Any ideas?, im using 3ds max
1x Tex*2 > 2x Tex*2 = 1x Tex*2w/Alpha Non *2 textures are totally fine on hardware that is not mobile based, basically anything that has the same power of that the PS2 shouldn't be using non*2 textures, although they used plenty of rectangular textures in FF series.

The book I'm using tells me to make the high poly material lambert, but Maya LT only seems to have phong, ShaderFX, and the other more complex shaders. Hey, I was wondering what is a good texture size for a FPS shotgun. Its around 2.5k polys. I know there isnt just one answer, but i was thinking about 1024x1024 is that to much?
