How do I make shadowless material for texture baking in Maya LT

I'm trying to texture bake a high poly brick wall to a plane. The book I'm using tells me to make the high poly material lambert, but Maya LT only seems to have phong, ShaderFX, and the other more complex shaders. Is there a way to remove the shadows and highlights from the phong or another material so that my diffuse texture map doesn't have the shadows and highlights burned in? Maybe my problem is with how the lighting is set?

Also if you have any good resources for doing this in Maya LT, lemme know, because I'm using the Maya Game Environments an Props book which is a bit old.

Here's the output of my diffuse phong:

Double click on your phone shader. It should open in your Attribute editor. There should be a subsection called "specular shading" Turning down reflectivity should cause it to behave more like the lambert shader.

    I hope that helps!
