I found an answer in 15 seconds by searching the Maya Help file for "uv ratio"
I have read it and put it on my FB. Worth of reading.
Asking simple questions is often just an exploating others. But I agree that it could be (doesnt have to be) far more better source to ask, even for a simple thing, some person face-to-face or by chatting.
Because, internet source often will give you just and answer, when people could add something from itself, like "ok, here is where you can find this tool you're looking for, BUT it's not the best, I personally use that one, try it, you might be surprised".
This kind of answers were often a reason for asking silly questions sometimes.
