Hello, I have a question about rendering the data channel to a texture. From my understanding the data channel can output this colors either to vertex colors or to a map channel, but whenever I try to render these, I get either a single channel or the wrong mapping for all the channels. Basically I want to create a…
is it possible to tell the renderer in 3dsmax to zoom a camera or use the current viewport to zoom in to render the scene at just the right size to allow all of the object to fit in the renderfield's aspect ratio? for example lets say you have a box and you know the aspect ratio of the box and set your render aspect ratio…
Hi guys, here is an illustration I did trying to render a face while it's disintegrating with two lights, one from the mark of the forehead and the other source from the sparks, any feedback is welcome and thanks!
Taking a break from UVs and baking. Planing to finish this one for game pipeline. It was a great learning experience and lot of fun! Based on the art of Bogdan Rezunenko Sculpted in Zbrush, rendered in Modo Work in progress
Hello everyone, I baked a lot of maps via the "Render To Texture" window in 3ds Max. But out of nowhere I can't open the window anymore. Whatever I do, the Render to Texture window doesn't open. Not by clicking on Render to Texture via the menu Rendering nor by a shortcut. Anyone else experienced that? Thank you Cheers,…
Hey guys, In Maya I have been trying to render a polygon with an imagine sequence textured on it. However, whenever I render it with Mental Ray it appears black. Does anyone know how to fix it?
Hey guys, I'm doing this render setup by X-Convict but I'm having some kind of problem and i dunno how to address. Here's my system specs, 32bit xp, a core2duo, 3g of ram. The scene I am rendering consists of 9 million polys when turbosmooth is on. Here's the screenshot of the prob. Thanks.
I am trying to get a shadow to render when I have my model against a plane...but not show the plane when I render. So I get a nice white background, and some cool shadow effects. Does anyone know the trick to do this in 3ds Max? Right now it looks too plain....
Hi all, Question for you all. When building a portfolio up to get into the video game industry, would you suggest either uploading your 3D model on to Sketchfab, in game engine and have it be rendered that way, or render it in Marmoset Toolbag? Is it different for different companies? What are your thoughts and opinions…
I know there were a few tutorials on how people render their high poly stuff floating around... where were they at? or did anyone find any new ones? could be for maya or max and any renderer. Is there a preference for what looks best as well? meaning type of shader, lighting setup etc... Thanks peace out!
