Hi everyone, This is my first polycount contest, I'm very excited to be challenged to do a personal piece with a League of Legends topic. I started working on a splash image for one of my favorite champions, Nami, but redesigned to be the queen of the sands. My concept revolves around a kingdom much like Atlantis, but a…
Hello, UDK Learning University is a Community/School dedicated to teaching Game design through UDK and making an actual game in the process. Not only are our students learning game design, 3d modeling, texturing, and level design. They are learning how to communicate and work as a team. And to work with every teammates…
After my last project I wanted to do something original and a little more out of my comfort zone, so I settled on a Lady Necromancer and a zombie to accompany her! Gathered refs on Pure ref for both her and her undead follower below Since I started this quite a while ago I do have progress images of the first few rounds of…
Im completely stuck. I am not able to use zbrush currently. It was working fine and now it just started doing this. I am able to open zbrush and I can load something from the lightbox menu and everything is fine. All buttons are white and active. The SECOND I pan the camera or try to load a subtool or do anything, all of…
Hey everyone I thought I'd start a thread for my Character WIPs. I started working again on a character that was originally for DWV (I had to drop out after a week or so). I wanted to finish her, so I started blocking out the main armor/suit parts. Here she is so far. Let me know what you think :) FINAL SHOTS:
Hey guys, Time to start a thread for my latest work. After being extremely disappointed with the Munch's Oddysee HD release, I decided to start recreating Vykker's Lab, my favorite Munch's Oddysee map. Reference: Work In Progress: So far it's very early stages, but I figured it's about time I start showing it off. - Sythen.

It's not as informative as an actual tutorial or anything, but I hope it's useful: In cases where I have a nice concept to work from, I always try to see what I can get away with by simply projecting the concept on to the model. Sometimes it's helpful,…
woke up in the 20s. there were flappers and fruits in white suits. it was right before the crash. we got thrashed throughout the 30s. queuing up for soup in scabby sores. and they sent us off to war. we came back in the 40s. there were wheelchairs, guns and ticker-tape. we poured it on the floor and made love to the…
I have found that making a blockout using only polygons that allow you to smooth is the best starting off point. This way you aren't rebuilding everything as your start to add support edges. Don't combine meshes when you don't need to as everyone has stated. There are alot of types of polygons that smooth well. You can…
Similar story for me. I started learning 4 with a R3 book. I remember switching computers and loosing 4. I was working as a digital paste up artist for the company that printed Game Developer. We used nothing but macs, quark express and photoshop. That's what I really thought I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Then, I…
