Hey, i am back with another maxscript issue im facing. in Maxscript for sw 3D Studio Max 2016 I am currently trying to build a series of functions to among other things get loop/ring edge "spans" between edge selections or specific edges. The first step in such a function is reliably getting the next edge in the loop/ring…
I'm using Maya 6.5, and for some reason the scale tool will stop working when I'm in the UV editor. At the same time, the move tool will then only allow me move UVs on one axis at a time. If I restart, it's back to normal--for a little while, anyway. Am I hitting some hotkey inadvertantly? I hope that's all it is... Thanks.

I don't say this to be an arse, it's just how…
Characters are the tough one. In order to remove the high poly step, you have to stop using Zbrush. We all know that Zbrush is THE essential tool in a character pipeline, so how do we remove it? How do we tell character artists that they have to go back to manually making a character using Sub-D modelling? There may be a…
Been getting into Modo these past couple of weeks. How do I get Modo to STOP dynamically subdividing the background grid (not the Workplane) when I zoom in or out?
Hey all, Super frustrating issue here. I've got a scene I'm trying to render out using Mental Ray and batch render. The batch render randomly stops, either 5 frames or 100 frames in. The # is always random. I've read i'm not the only one with this issue and the solutions brought forth haven't helped (disabling…
I'm making a braided ponytail. I want to inflate the braids, but I want the area that begins colliding with the other braids to stop inflating. Does that make sense? Inflate with collision detection or something?
