Is it worth to send a resume to big companies if you don't have work experience in game studios?
I started to think more and more that I need to find a job in a game studio. One of the main requirements is that it should be a rather big studio (like Ubisoft/Square Enix/etc), so it can offer relocation to the USA/Japan/Canada/Europe from Russia. It all depends on what you plan on doing. 1300-1500 will get you a nice rig allowing you to do pretty much everything. Custom built WILL get you something better than pre-built. oblivion has lots of flaws, but I can't stop loving it, A couple of grands for a rig is an overstatement, one grand might be closer :P, there are some cheap 7800gt's around, and those run the game perfectly, 30 fps in full wilderness, 60+ anywhere else. ultra high, 1280x1024, with hdr, no aa/af.. that's with a gig of ram… -
