has anyone popped open the editor yet? omfg... 1.5 mil tris on average... the whole entire level runs directly in the editor, real time AO... n stuff... sad day... the snow effect... is INSANE!!!! it updates in real time ... also real time froth on water and rocks?! WTF?! and their heads use 256x256 normal maps...
Hi there - Im extruding a shape along a CV curve around my characters body in maya. I can get so far by adjusting the twist setting on the extrude, but its not perfect and I was wondering if theres a better(but still easy) way of controlling the twist on the strap? many thanks N

I am required to create an asset for an art test, with two LOD's one 1750 tris and another 300 both of which have to share the same texture space, how would i go about doing that? do i make the 300 tri first then UV it then up the res? or the higher version first UV n then the 300?
K got some dynameshing done!! going to go in maya n work on some basemeshing now...Ugh It's been so long since I've done art...debating between using alphas for the hair and learning to sculpt hair(leaning more towards the latter though, i feel it'll fit better with the stylized look.)

Are the renders in Toolbag not using Gloss maps? Asking because the D/N/S on the bottom suggests so, yet the materials look really nice both in Toolbag and in-game. If that's the case i'd love to see some texture sheets of any of the weapons.. :) Keep it up, these models all look amazing. :)
I have a few more areas to get rid of tris and n-gons so I will clean that up. I was under the impression that sculpting was optional (pretty new with this stuff) but if sculpting is far more efficient, then I will definitely start reading up on it and give sculpting a shot. Thanks for the help!
