controlling extruded bag strap along CV curve (Maya)

Hi there - Im extruding a shape along a CV curve around my characters body in maya. I can get so far by adjusting the twist setting on the extrude, but its not perfect and I was wondering if theres a better(but still easy) way of controlling the twist on the strap?
