When I'm making extrusions with Maya, I always see an extra poly inside the mesh and it also causes the verts to break into two's. I have to go in and merge the verts and delete the unwanted poly on the inside. Is there a fix for that. Here's what I mean:
Usually to do this kind of thing, I would extrude with an Extrusion Height of 0.0, then scale up the resulting polys. I'm pretty sure Max has always done this with this kind of geometry.
