----------------------------------------------------- Edit: Project done! Well I didn't expect to take a break from this project for as long as I did but I'm glad I returned to it. Check out the Artstation project here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/g8gR0E Thanks for checking it out.…
Started on a new scene to break away from another larger, more complex scene. Its either going to be a space environment, underwater or general industrial type. Will try and finish it quickly. Crits very welcome.
Hey guys, Here is a steampunk house, on a hill top, in the middle of a calm sea. This scene was the extension of the result of an art test done for Kitbash3D, who provided the concept sketch for the house. Additional modeling and detailing were done to give the scene some sense of story and mood. The scene was modeled and…
Hey guys, I was asked to take my animation scenes from Maya and instead of having a regular playblast to render it out with the kind of extra visual polish like you see in showreels such as the lighting and textures of a scene. What ways can I make my regular maya scene look better?
So I created this environment scene in Maya 2011, and use two different CgFX shaders for all the objects, one that allows for texture blending and one for everything else. So I saved everything in one folder, and moved the CgFX files and all the textures there, beacuse I want somebody else to be able to open the scene…
Hi, I've been working on this project for about 1-2 months now and felt it was at a first pass stage and wanted to share this project with the polycount community and hopefully get some good feedback and critique. The scene has been rendered using Unreal Engine 4, models created in 3D Studio Max and Textures using Quixel…
Hi PolyCount, I have been a lurker for a while now, and decided to be a serious member of this forum. I have a tent scene that is going to be an interior scene, but because you can see the outside I have to fake the desert/ sky box with the lighting. I use sky light with directional light and few point lights. Any help…
Okay this may sound so stupid coming from me.I know how to model and animate character stuff but whenever I want to animate a camera movement(trying out animating a scene with camera movements).I don't get the perspective view of the scene the way I would want it.I want to create a camera movement through a church door and…
I'm confused what your goal is for the scene, is this for your portfolio? If so then you are going to have to post different angles and some close-up shots so we can see textures. Right now it seems like it's a lighting study since that's really the only thing of interest. As far as the total composition I'm going to have…
I am going to have to disagree with Duckworth on this one. Especially with a Diablo style camera, the player will never see those polygons that are underneath the awning. In addition, the alpha effect with be much more effective if you simply use a plane to achieve that tattered and torn look for your scene. I could stand…
