Hello, guys. What's the difference between beveling edges and inserting edge loops when modeling for subdiv if the resulting mesh almost is the same? I'm quite noobish at modeling and I don't know what to use. What method is better and used more in the industry? And what should I use to get clean models with good topology?
In a bit of a modelling pickle... How would I re-top these tank treads? I'm currently hand-modelling each piece but it's gonna take me days. Any suggestions? Current attempt is colored red
anybody knows how to query the highpoly count of a smooth mesh model? it's in the hud, but i couldn't find a way to query it or alternativly a formula to calculate.
