Hey guys. I'm creating a pokemon-style creaure and wanted to create a nice, flat and vivid eye (tried a spherical small eye - it got kinda strange and ugly). But what about the rigging? I decided tor record the issues otherwise I would need to post a bunch of prints, which is really boring. I've been beating my head with…
Hey guys, I have this weird streak/shading/artifact on this part of my low poly. I think it has to do with the thin quads but hopefully someone can confirm this. This area is completely flat and the high poly matches it. This is the mesh with normal map applied This is the low poly geometry: That whole section is its own…
Hopefully someone can help here, I'm pretty new to unity and I have been trying to find if there is a way to view a scene flat shaded with no lighting? I have found the lighting toggle but it still leaves stuff shaded and very dark. Basically I just want to be able to see the environment with no shading and no lighting…
Latest: I've had an idea for a Laputa/Skies of Arcadia style floating castle scene. I want the castle to be inspired by (but not be a direct copy of) the Portuguese royal palace at Sintra: a castle built in the late 19th century in the romantic-nationalist style. The Pink bit on the right is the bit that interests me. Also…
Hello , I was wondering if is possible ot project a flat mesh plane witha proper subdivision over another surface more complex one so to adapt to its shape ... The idea is to replace with a simplier model the more complex one , but have a simplier model that have a perfectly squared uvmap so to not have to go in the…
Hi, I'm having an issue with DDO. All the varnished smart materials are not working. Other channels are fine but the albedo is just a flat color (dark orange), it should be a wood texture.
hello guys I have a question, its legal to have triangles (or ngons) in the middle of the flat surfaces accounting all edges have doubles properly (creased) and looking good in the case of production ready subd , or we must stick to quads all the time? What Im planning to do - build a hardsurface with creased / triple…
you can visit my website to see the texture flats of each one. Are my textures lacking in contrast? They seem fine when I look at them. Is it a lighting issue? Materials? I'm not doing anything funky.. I just have it setup with diffuse, spec, normal.. a little spec power boost.. some basic reflection cube map. Theyre lit…
Any help would be much much appreciated with helping me work out how to animating a truncated cone unfolding into a flat surface. To use for sheet metal development. I can't find anything to point me in the right direction. I'm using maya or 3d max. Thanks.
Tried baking displacement map from high to lower poly mesh in Blender. Baked map output is completely flat grey in color. Isn't it supposed to be black and white or show a variety of greys? I have been tweaking the parameters without any results. Using Blender internal for the baking. Thanks EDIT: Seems the solution is to…
