The modo users here at Polycount might be interested to know this. If this is old hat I apologize. Using Instance Mirror to achieve a more powerful workflow for symmetrical modeling... Below is a solution for modeling symmetrically in modo without using Symmetry mode. Using modo's Symmetry options along X,Y, or Z works,…
So here I am, a long-time member of Polycount but a guy who almost never posts ever. In that past, that was mostly about being intimidated by all the excellent work from people that gets shown here and thinking to myself that I wasn't ready to "play the game" at that level and not wanting to be embarrassed or feel…

Hello I was working on this helmet ... But I need to work on a simmetry on the snake parts , now those are offsetted from the Z axis and whe nI activate double side of course is not precisely setup from z axis ( front and read ) how can I do so to match the actual simmetry only for the snake heads? the Y axis is fine (…
Que tal amigos, solo para pasarles mi blog en el cual estare subiendo videotutoriales creados por mi, espero y les puedan ser de utilidad, tal vez no sea muy bueno en zbrush, pero pues esta bien para los que quieran empezar. Saludos! http://miroartgames.blogspot.com
So i've been playing around with the more advance surface noise tools in the new release of Zbrush, however I still can't get the x/y/z angle/offset/scale controls to actually make any difference. I'm literally adjusting the slider and expecting to see it update but it dosn't seem to change. Anyone know if i'm missing a…
Hi everyone, I am very new in maya animation and can't figure out what to do in this case. My pelvis bone has some rotation( y-90 z-180 for proper export to the game engine) but obviously this is causing pelvis wobbling between key poses instead of expected result. Is there an easy way to get around this problem?
This is an asset I'm working on for an environment I'm current;y working on. Just started it last night and worked on it some more this afternoon. Right now I'm just trying to think of details to put on it to make it feel more complete, but also keeping in mind that this is going to be used a lot so I'm trying not to add…
I'm having a problem and I have no idea how it started. In 3DS Max, when I scale with the scale gizmo, the other axes seem to be scaling inversely along with it. For example, if I scale down the X axis, the Y and Z axis will follow suit by scaling up. It's the strangest thing. Anyone know if there's an option I…
While in the UVW editor, I'm trying to scale something down and while doing so, it either scales on the X or Y axis instead of it all at once. Back in 3ds max 2010, it would scale it all at once down. How can I have so in 2012 it'll scale it all at once? I've looked before asking as well.
