I'd consider making the entrance way bigger, in the concept the BW floored entrance gives a lot of character to the room and it lets a lot of the natural light come in if you don't want it o be too dark. This is how I remember: Think of the wing as a normal arm, wth the fingers (particularly the pinky) extending down to make the whole wing.
