Helllllo, I'm wondering how can I use a feature known as "bumpmap painting" or "bumpmap projecting" or whatever in Sculptris. This feature can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFzgy5mrvh4 Is there anyone that knows how to enable that step after step? If yes, please reply me with the solution. Thank you! EDIT:…
cholden - I just start off erasing with a broadish soft brush, then get thinner as I paint more detail. you can use the prssure for size and opacity , but I do vary this. It depends a lot on what style of hair you are doing. Perhaps I will write a mini tutorial, because I have a really simple quick method for painting…
Hi guys I am working on a real-time character and I am kinda struggling with the hand painted/cartoony texture look. Here are some concepts I made for this guy: I am also quite new to +15k polys modeling, is this topology acceptable? or does it need major changes? any tips/help would be greatly appreciated! feedback will…
Hi everyone, I am making a room with wall pieces that are copy's of the same static mesh. When I vertex (try to) paint every one also receives it like they are not copy's but more like instances. Does anyone know how I could prevent this from happening so I can make different details on different parts of the room? Thanks Z

I'm taking a Maya class this quarter for reference after having only ever using Max. The project I'm working on is an abandoned missile silo and I'm wanting to set up a series of panels on the interior wall, so going in a circle. So far I built a template by dividing up a cylinder and deleting unwanted polys leaving me…
Beveling the edges would be a good place to start for reducing the blocky feel. Or I suppose paint the edges to look beveled. The curvature map plugged into base color like you have on your turnaround gif is a good place to start, but push it further. Nothing says "hand painted style" like wacky, over-pronounced edge…
Arman, Due to many people having issues with the sandbag part of our Photo Real test, we've updated/revised the test a bit. The new restrictions are listed on our website. www.bigsandwichgames.com I'm an old schooler, and the purpose of our test was to see how people could 'think' when handling extremely low poly / texture…
I've been learning mel recently (only knew some basics till now), and have a few questions for those in the know. 1. Is their a way to lock variables? I'd like to be able to make a procedure declare variables once and never again, so they dont get reset values every time a global is called. 2.How does the tokenize command…
Hello, everyone and anyone who is willing to help. I posted a similar topic awhile ago for GML model conversions, and have subsequently been able to port those models to GML - thanks to the help of the user "monster". I am now porting my models to other gaming consoles, and have been able to export every model in the past…
