I think its because you're zooming on a point in space, and as you get closer and closer to the point the zoom slows down. if you select the object or vert etc you want to zoom on and hit z, it will center your camera on it and you should be able to zoom right in no problem
Yeah, sounds like z-fighting. As Psixos mentioned, moving the decoration away from the surface will help. Seeing as it's UE3, you could also try setting up a separate material for those bits that blends the two textures together. Then you could remove the extra plane completely.
Hello, I'v recently started using blender z brush and substance, I was curious about any feedback on the items I'v been working on and putting into my artstation portfolio any thoughts are appreciated https://www.artstation.com/bryan_mckinley Thank you for any feedback in advance.
Anyone know a good place to find comfortable chairs for Artists that won't destroy your back? That has lumbar and head support? Or maybe if anyone has ever seen any sort of electronic ones that you can adjust the head and lumbar support with a remote like a La-Z Boy

Hi. Umm... so I want to select faces based on the direction they are facing. You know like selecting all the faces along the Z axis etc etc etc. I've read this site and it says: Is this what I want? If not please tell how. Thank you! :3
Well, my 'alt+R' is working, and I don't see any edit/pose mode mismatch... The axis where it is rotated is the y axis not the z - as indicated by the gimbal trasform orientation - and the y is not locked. Do you get any error messages?
@SelwynPhillips your work reminds me so much of the inside of my Honda CR-Z! I would love to see an interior designer use your models to inspire some apartment style interiors or house interiors, especially on the sample panels.
oh i just meant if you were sliding along the X, Y, or Z axis since you're grabbing the handle maybe it's interpreting that offset between the gizmo handle vs. the vert as the centerpoint of the operation until it can find something to snap to
I am having no problems with Windows 10 apart from a memory crash error. Need to check if I have MSI afterburner installed or GPU-Z. Because from what I have heard those cause memory crash errors :\
