Anyone know a good place to find comfortable chairs for Artists that won't destroy your back? That has lumbar and head support? Or maybe if anyone has ever seen any sort of electronic ones that you can adjust the head and lumbar support with a remote like a La-Z Boy

Seems like this is exactly what you're looking for. Although if you're in the US, you may be out of luck as they don't seem to have worldwide shipping.
This may be an alternative in that case (except for no head support):

No, I'm not kidding (other than cost).

Probably going to use a better chair, like a Recaro or similar.
Super weird. I'm not a fan of this chair, but I don't hear anyone else really not digging it.
I've resorted to sitting on a pillow, and that helps
/me shrug. :poly122:
I switched to a stool for a while because I liked how the stance was - nice and upright, with the feet firmly set on the floor. But then I realized that something was still off. Turns out that the swivel feature of all office chairs annoys me, even if I didn't realize it for years...
One day a few years ago, out of frustration I grabbed the ugliest, most basic chair I could find around the office and gave it a try. I have been loving it ever since!
Got this one for home recently, very similar. For 50$, I'd say there's nothing to loose with trying it out!

Now the other very important thing besides choosing a chair is to make sure that you have a fully height-adjustable desk - because simply adjusting the height of the chair is not enough for good ergonomics.
Also, I personally need a footrest too. Its good from an ergonomic standpoint (prevents the edge of a chair to bite into the back of the legs, causing circulatory problems) but it's also nice to ... mess around with! I personally use a longboard as a footrest haha -it's sure looks cooler than any ugly footrest out there
£9 from ikea. Don't ever get this chair. Ever.
but I think

I had never heard of smart furniture website either so I'll do a bit of research, but I think that

might be a winner
I had sustained a shoulder injury for the past few weeks, as it turns out my arm was slightly dislocated for a long time...and I wondered where that back pain was coming from. So once it got placed back I couldn't work at the computer for 3 weeks...1 more week to go
thanks everyone for all the advice
