I don't know how useful this will really be. It sounds like they're only talking about hiding some of the design stuff deeper in the regular edition, and the other way around. 3DS Max Trouble with Making Shortcuts
3DS Max 2012 student version, went Customize > Custom User Interface > Assigned some keys that were like Ctrl + H, Ctrl + J etc. However every time I save them and load them by clicking those two buttons, they don't apply. I even saved my scene and restarted Max and still didn't have the shortcuts made. What is the problem? -
speed up PS CS3 + CS4

I use Mudbox for everything paint related. Guided strokes, stencils and all that, a Photoshop-like layer stack and a direct connection to PS, all wrapped in a simple interface. 3D Coat looks more full featured for sure though. 1. Scroll all the way to the right. 2. Tap the button at upper right with three horizontal lines in it. (the so-called "hamburger" menu). 3. Tap the "head and shoulders" button. 4. Nudge Keys is built into Max now. In Customize User Interface change the Group (not Category) to "Track View". Like my script it only works on selected keys. It might work in more cases than my script. There's a slide keys tool you might find useful to. When you click and drag a key it pushes all the keys after/before it. -

Ya i used to use Wings3d in college. It is simple and easy to use, so pretty good for learning. Doesn't do any sort of UVs or texturing though, strictly a modeler.
