A simple sphere with another lower poly sphere as its wrap deformer: I edit the vertices of the deformer: As you can see, it gives ugly results when compared to a regular lattice. Just for comparison, here is a "Mesh Deform" modifier in Blender, which is similar to a wrap, but seems to give much cleaner results: Am I…
I have a problem. Working on something that involves a cloth wrap going around a pole, and I can't think of an time efficient manner in which to wrap a piece of cloth around the pole, while maintaining a slightly random pattern so it looks like it was done by a person, continuity in the wrap so it looks like it's been done…
So, I've come to polycount in light of my attempts to wrap cloth around the handle of my pistol I'm modeling. This is the effect I would like to create, preferably within Max. Obviously not to the extreme extent of this but a few turns, like 5 or 6 One tutorial on polycount showed an effect like this But the geometry I…
Problem: Can't easily wrap a singe belt pattern, or similar cylindrical pattern, around body. Faulty Solution: Since I'm working with my own avatar (no skeleton, bones, etc. only mesh), I can't utilize the Arrangement Points feature to wrap patterns automatically around my avatar. What do I do to resolve this issue so I…
Hello folks. After playing SH2R I was curious how to make cloth and plastic like game has in hospital basement. It might not be physically accurate, but most of the time looks convincing enough and most importantly - pretty cool. You will see an extrusion on the handle that I would like to wrap or cut some of this up on. Now I thought about cutting it and then using an FFD box but it…
As the title suggests, I need to learn how to wrap a spline around a model, I have searched youtube for countless tutorials and they most of them do it the most stupid way (e.g. using a basic helix) I need to wrap splines around quite a few objects, I have seen people do it maya efficiently as hell. when I try to use…
I used MAYA's bend.I was able to wrap the net. However, the net cannot be placed on the top part. The joint is dirty. Is there a way to wrap the net around the top?
If you can't get it converted in Maya, Max will convert Skin Wrap to skin if you export as FBX from Maya it should import the Wrap Deformer to Max's Skin Wrap modifier and from there you can convert it to skin and re-export.
EDIT: PREMATURE POST!! I was very tired and just wanted some help in figuring this out but it turns out the fix is ridiculously simple. Just check 'Vert Deformation' to 'Face Deformation' in the Skin Wrap settings. Hi everybody! I'm having a really frustrating issue that I was really hoping some people could give me…
