So my issue is that the normal's aren't baking correctly because of the rays hitting a near by mesh I'm thinking. Well the solution would be to adjust the ray length which i did but that didn't help. Second solution would be to set "Match- by mesh name" which I also did and it fixed the problem but also caused another one.…
I have enabled dx 12 and ray tracing in project settings. And if I disable "cast ray trace shadows" the shadows are there. And the sky light doesn't change at all, no matter what I choose.
Hi, I'm new to using Mental Ray inside 3DS Max, and I've created a specular map for my current character, I'm not sure what the equivalent of specular is though inside of Mental Rays Arc and Design material, is it Reflection? Any one out there able to tell me where I place the specular? Thanks
