I have enabled dx 12 and ray tracing in project settings. And if I disable "cast ray trace shadows" the shadows are there. And the sky light doesn't change at all, no matter what I choose.
There are a couple of things that could cause this. Make sure you: - set the light to movable - If you are going for full realtime lighting, make sure to disable " allow static lighting" in the world settings and press build
10th series cards are known to have issues with ray tracing in unreal. For example, directional light won't contribute to ray tracing gi. Unrelated here, but worth to mention.
2070super. I want better light so I need baked lighting. Sun is movable. ANd allowstatic lighting aka Force No-Precomputed Lighting turned off also isn't helping.
Can you reproduce the error in an another scene? If you can, I can take a look into that. So you don't have to upload your actual project + if you can't reproduce, I wouldn't be able to reproduce it either.
