Super Summer Character Art Boot Camp! Are you a highly dedicated student amateur artist looking for something to maybe push you through to that next level? The idea behind this boot camp is not to focus on helping you make 1 character over the summer. Its to get you to churn out quite a few low-poly/hand-painted assets…
The Project Malaise (working title) is s sci-fi survival game inspired by old-school movies such as Alien and Pitch Black, where few survivors find themselves in an alien environment facing an unknown sentient threat. The game is done in a slightly retro-futuristic look, attempting to capture the clunky sci-fi tech of the…
Programmers and engineers pay more and give better flexibility. If you go the game art route, well you have less career options. Though this is really a personal question that you need to answer. You can always do art or programming (a lot of programming stuff can be found for free online) in your free time while you learn…
This past year I've been REALLY grinding to get to a better place artistically, and this project is one of the culminations of this. Feel free to chime in with feedback for my future projects! Cheers. Video here and more pictures: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/rlK9PE
looks good, one thing i'd say however would be not to bother putting specs like the 2x1024 normal maps etc on the render as it's not important for a bust and makes it seem you're making out that this is a finished piece, which it currently isn't. Going to get…

Especially with the subdivision level you're working in (unless this is a higher sub level than you actually work in?) Anyway, last update rocks. The muscles on her back (2 posts up), do seem a bit to much…
Oh dear I completely forgot I had a thread for this going. So it's years later, but I did actually resurrect this project to finish it off (I'm as surprised as you are). I carried it over to UE5 and then set up a bunch of physics driven movement, made an animation and called it done. https://vimeo.com/875856331?share=copy…
I don't have a lot of experience here, or exposure but the bit of exposure I do have with the toolset I'm referring to, I'm wondering if it's like this at other studios. I used to work with a place that had a piece of software they built themselves, you would open it and it would have all of your tasks in it, you would do…
