I'm trying to figure out which software is best when it comes to creating normal maps. Does Maya, XNormal, or Substance Designer produce similar results? Or is one superior? Thanks.
It's my understanding that I'll just have to learn to deal with the "save as copy" bullshit... that it can't be disabled. Is this correct? So I was curious if you can instead of blending 2 height maps together, use one height map as the base and one as the replace map. Example I have a cobble stone texture, I want to blend in some sand.
