Sorry if this has been answered before, but the option to view materials as Directx shaders is gone from the usual spot in the Material editor. Where is it found now? I downloaded the trial though, is that any different from the DVD version?
Do any of you know how to make the preview window bigger? Seems no matter what resolution I render it at, the panoramic view finder window is tiny afterward; and seems roughly the same size each time. I don't seem to be able to get max's new viewport shadows working with materials that have an .fx shader or a normal bump material applied to them. They work just fine with standard materials. Has anyone got this working?
Heyo, I figure this is the best place to ask. I'm getting a problem in Max'08 where verts are displayed when a file is initially loaded but the second i move the camera they disappear. I'm using a GeForce8800 GTA, DirectX9.0 and have updated my display drivers hoping that'd solve it. Any ideas? Reaaaaally starting to throw…
