Painting with brushes in Substance Painter
I'm trying to paint with a brushes in Substance Painter to hide/ expose scratch masks but I can't get my brush to change color. Currently it's black and I believe "X" inverts the color but it isn't. I can use my eraser to undo paint strokes but without the ability to invert my brush color, I don't know how to reveal… -
Zbush Subtools Turn Black On Merge
Hi Everyone! So I have been poly painting a 3d print sculpture with quite a few sub tools and now I want to merge all the subtools and hollow out the figurine... but when I merge them the whole thing turns black and I loose all the poly paint information. Does anyone know how I can get around that problem? Cheers! :) -

Im looking for a photoshop 3d painting tutorial or workflow for painting simple painterly diffuse textures. I understand how to load the model into the program, but all the tutorials I have watched are for much older versions. I was looking for something for Photoshop CC. 3d painting in Photoshop? Any good?
I wanted to ask. For people, who have tried Photoshop for 3d texture painting. Is it any good? Is it convenient for painting 8k, 16k and 32 k textures. I am thinking of trying out mari, or 3dcoat. For me, I find Mudbox a little less intuitive. I normally use Viewport canvas in 3dsmax. -

It depends on what it is you're trying to print. And that's the tricky part, that every piece requires its own attention. You have to be really aware of support structures, and areas that protrude outwards. Then there's also the temperatures. Both for the bed and the plastic. Different pieces may need different…
