Hi, I'm working on this project for my thesis. I'm looking to demonstrate a transformation sequence within UE4. In this case the basic gist of the character is that a spirit/ghost had wandered for thousands of years and eventually possesses a deactivated android (similar to the ghost's own proportions) in a lab. This…
When I export a terrain mesh from world machine I want to decimate it but the uvs get destroyed and the color textures that fit with the non-decimated mesh don't allign on the decimated mesh. How do I get around that?
hey guys... after sending to them my sculpts i just got the actual project to see. And yea, Pior, you're right.....i got one of their characters sculpted for their first fully CG film and it's a sci-fi story (low poly, mid poly, high poly meshes). And it's posed with arms down still in symmetry. They want clean T pose so…
If you don't require this mesh to ever e split up in the future, you may as combine them at export then just undo that combine after exporting. Alternatively, you can export each part you are using as its own asset then assemble them in UDK, if that's what you are doing in Max. This can actually be better if you are…
Mostly I do box-modeling. And I'm trying to get into sculpting, texturing, and animating (least priority at this point, however) So, this one here is my base mesh that I have been using, projects after projects; each time it's getting updated and hopefully better. Questions I have now is; will this mesh be good to sculpt…
I still haven't come to grips with creasing either. I like it, but I tend to run into lots of little cases where I also need standard support loops to hold a shape. And then you make some edits and all the creasing gets distributed around to the whole model. And that's a difficult way to work. So I just use it for…
Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue or knows of a fix. When baking with Marmoset I create a bake group, do my bakes as normal. I then make a change one of the high or low poly meshes outside of Marmoset, save and go back to Marmoset. Marmoset should auto-reload the mesh so I can rebake. Marmoset hangs…
Help needed: I used spline meshes for the pipes. By default they had nanite on and it took away all my subdivision for the deformation. I disabled nanite and now the optimisation view mode seem to have a problem with my topology? The price I payed for this is that now I have huge amount of poly sitting on top of the…
Hey, I saw my lecturer use a tool somewhere in one of the tabs in max 2012, in the ribbon. I believe it was in the Freeform options. Basically he could push a lowpoly mesh to match the mesh of a highpoly mesh. Does anyone know where this is?
Hi Everyone, I've been working on a bot piece for a project of mine. I thought I'd do a quick test in DDO to see what my mesh would look like with some materials. I've noticed however that regardless of my pivot points in 3DS Max, DDO is rendering one of the mesh groups at the centre point of world. My exported mesh…
