I'm re-exporting my meshes for uneal. I now have two sets of uv's. One is the lightmap I set up in Maya. I import the mesh back into unreal. I check off the generate lightmaps. When I open my mesh up in the ue4 mesh editor and look at uv's, no matter what index I set the lightmap to it is the same layout. It's not my…
[ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntx10JMl9f4[/ame] This isn't a solution to the problem with indirect lighting. I am bound determined to solve that one too, though.
I am trying to make tile sets similar to this (created by Dev from runic game forums) and I'm having a huge trouble making them. I created one myself but it seems.. ugly :( .. The part that troubles me is making the tile and doing shadow/lighting on it.
Hey there! I've been trying to replicate that Tron/Halo style light-bridge texture for one of my projects, but honestly I've no idea where to even start! Other than turning transparency down and incandescence up when rendering in Maya. Ultimately it will be in either UDK or UE4, but right now it's really important I get it…
Hi, I have a question regarding a model I recently normal mapped. The bake turned out great but after I ran a test render in 3d Max I noticed certain area refuse to lighten up... I tried to add lighting sources but they have no effect. Can anyone help me with this??? I can't find any tutorials that explain what the problem…
The back face of my grass foliage planes are really dark. How can I fix this? I know how to solve it in the previous Unreal Engine, but I just can't figure it out in UE4. Custom lighting isn't really available now is it because of PBR? :/ Thank you!
Been starting on star wars sort of project. The first piece for it was the standard issue sidearm for all stormtroopers, the SE-14r blaster! I'm working off some light references from the movies and a guy who made it in real life. I have the lower part of the gun modeled for now.
Thank you for the thorough feedback post, Peyd3D! I've been chipping at this piece using your advice and I think I'm nearly there. Went with the viewpoint you suggested for one shot. With the wider one, I'm struggling to fit the beacon and the focal piece together. I think they're fighting for the viewer's attention a…
https://vimeo.com/216220530 I approached this work by Santi Sánchez behance.net/gallery/49345829/Meteora in a realtime fashion. there are several dynamic lighting conditions. still some bugs - i have to press buttons twice until reflection and gi updates correct and there is a jittering i guess from the post processing. to…
I've been trying to get realistic or close to it lighting for my horror project that's been in development for over a year now. I can't help but feel like it looks fake. I want to get more of a mood or real feel out of it. If anyone can provide some insight based on the scene I present, it would be greatly appreciated.…
