You’re a clinical psychologist in a crumbling Eastern European port city. Your job? Listen. Diagnose. Help. Your problem? One by one, your patients are getting caught up in a series of murders. Some will lie to you. Some will beg you for help. Some won’t make it to their next session. And the deeper you dig, the more you…
Hey everyone! I've hit a dead end on my research into this so i'm reaching out to see if maybe someone can help. I'm trying to recreate this effect in Shader Forge in Unity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgLpyRVbJUE I'm working on a game that has a very painted/ stylized art and this fits way more than a realistic flame.…
Hey Guys! Ive recently had the idea of creating a large scale advanced character editor, that would produce game ready playable game characters, and would be used as a dev tool to help character artists create realistic 3d characters, I was wondering if anyone would give me ideas that I might could add to my currently…
https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/01/09/meltdown_spectre_slowdown/ the linked article contains some before/after-patch performance figures. not looking good. right now first of all i'm quite confused as to if and what to install (firmware, drivers, windows + OSX patches for the operating systems). finding all this stuff…
It won't be quick and easy even if you aren't new to it. 90+% of people will get better results faster if they do it by hand (using prebuilt modules etc) It only makes sense to develop an automated system for this sort of thing if you have a shit load of them to make or if you want to make the system for the fun of it

Game style is similar to x-com/ufo series but with robots as main units and is set in the far future. More info with the description of most game systems, units and aproximately half of weapons can be…
Not sure why there's a lack of serious answers, but there are a lot of approaches. If you're doing terrain you're probably using multiple textures and masks for most of the details, and choco's tutorials are good. You can make the actual terrains in many different ways though, they're much more free-form than most things.…
For the same reason people have dual processor systems. A single processor can only do so much in a given time. Utilizing additional processors allows you to process more instructions in the same amount of time, even if the are the same speed as your single processor system. Right now I have 48 processes running on my…
Thanks guys. I'm heading to AZ in a few minutes, but I'll see if I can work up/polish up a few better technical examples to send your way. I'm mainly using Maya at the moment, do you have access to maya to take a look at things, or should I take a week and convert over to max first? SCM for art, as in like a version…
Update without any cool images. I liked Plasticity for its speed and for opening the last project on startup. Several seconds and you're ready to go. Backups were enabled in preferences too. What could go wrong? I'll tell you. It seems like after the second launch, Plasticity loads a file not from your project folder, but…
