Day 1 Sculpted the mask using one of the simple heads that come with zbrush as a base, and then retopologized/subdivided/UV'd the mask, and so far I've only blocked out some of the colors and focused on making decent masks that I'll be using later on for all of the roughness and normals.
Hi I am trying to make a circular masking on an object but even if I selected on backface masking it still pass my masking throught all four surfaces of my mesh when I do in frontal view ... why that and how could I solve this? thanks for any answer...
Well, that grunge is not even a mask, it's a fill layer. You can alt-click on the group mask and that will isolate the mask you have there with color selection. If you were to add a Fill layer in the group mask with that specific procedural, then when you alt-click the group mask you would see what you want, the black and…
Hey, I've had this issue before in the past but I'm not able to get past it this time. I'm getting glitched textures when I paste layers into other texture sets. Sometimes this can be solved by closing and reopening the file but that doesn't always work. Hiding and showing the layer again doesn't work either. I think it…
I'm having a few issues with unexpected Gradients appearing in my Mask layers and finding it hard to pinpoint what is causing the issues. Below are the maps I'm plugging into DDO - I'm making pretty simple, lower res textures and as such I'm using a mixture of modo baking but mostly nDo map converter to create most of the…
Is there a way to load an alpha mask into World Machine and run that like a mask, similar to the Layout Generator? Say I want an island in the shape of an "S", make a mask in PS and then bring it into WM, use that set the limits on an effect.
:) here is an the example of sk tail. its a combination of 4 channels: mask1 blue (for metalness effect), mask2 blue (for tinting the spec light to the materials color), mask2 red (for setting specular intensity) and mask2 green (for rimlight intensity). try to use very soft values in the metalness channel and also dont…
My goal is to learn dynameshing for hard surface objects. So I made a box and then made a smaller box inside of it, with some of it poking out so I can add to the mesh. So I dynamesh it and it's all good, I set my blur to zero so nothing gets smoothed. Now here comes my problem; I mask my small square that's inside my big…
Hi! I have been playing around with the ZBrush masking menu, where i can mask by cavity/peaks etc. My question is are there any more options like that? It's a bit barebone from my expirience, and i want some more variation masks for the rocks that i'm creating. Any answer would be great!
