Started the challenge today. I am going for a more realistic version of the scene, rather than sticking with the Warcraft style. At this stage just modelling, not UV'd anything, so lots of errors with the lighting. I am making quite a few changes to things to make it sit into the style I want to go for.
I just want to point out that every single person that has gotten snagged up from Polycount has a portfolio full of next-gen SCI-FI goodness... A coincidence? Dumdumduuuuuum! The plot thickens. I made this post with a lantern on it as a small part of a bigger WoW inspired scene. I would, but for some reason my laptop's graphics card really doesn't like BF1942. It starts running slowly after 10 minutes, then crashes after 15-20 minutes, pretty much consistently. Not fun. Does the same on Call of Duty, too ... but Warcraft III and UT2k4 are fine... very odd.
The eyeball in the sam fisher gears is a beholder' from eye of the beholder. The two characters talking to the warcraft 3 death knight are from broken sword I think. The little knight with the flag is from settlers The skeletan in roman armour is from Eternal Darkness. thats all i got on top of that great list!
