Final Daytime Images: And bonus: the flats (used a bit more texture space than what I wanted, but meh). Today I'm starting a new thread that I hope to keep up to date during all the production of a new map I wanted to do for a long time now. I'm about to start a UDK portfolio map that will be a realistic reproduction of…
UDK question should be in the UDK forum. Your model is sound. Your normal map import settings are wrong. Use the settings below and you should be fine. Your texture will look normal in the Asset Browser, but it'll be a funny blue color in the material editor.
At GDC Europe's presentation two weeks ago they didn't want to set a date for a UDK4 release, however there will eventually be one. Also, UDK3 will be supported for a long time, apparently.
Just wondering if in UDK I can set more than one channel (other than channel 1) specifically for lightmapping. I have a detailed prop with multiple elements and don't want to unwrap all of it into one channel and have low resolution shading. Wanted to know if there is a way to do this or a different solution. Thanks. :)
I have animation with a rig that uses Spineik for secondary animation. How do i go about to transfer the keys from the Point controls to the bones so that i could export it out as FBX to UDK with the animation intact? Any help is appreciated. Yes sorry i forgot to mention that im using 3dsmax
I made a basic tiling texture in photoshop and used NDO to generate a normal map. Do I need to flip/invert the green channel in photoshop before using the normal map in UDK? I tried it without flipping and Im pretty sure my normals are not quite right. Any help appreciated.
Hey guys so I'm having some issues with creating a reflective water shader in UDK (may). I have the scene capure reflect actor placed in the scene with a TextureRenderTarget2d plugged into it. Here are pics of the material setup: for some reason the water is all green, while the actual reflected image is merely a tiny…
CURRENT SCENE PROGRESS- Hello all, it's been a short while but I'm back with another environment project. I'm using this concept (with permission, of course) from Viktor Jonsson- I've made three pieces so far. Lowpoly shots are in Marmoset, highpoly and wires in Maya. And here's a shot of the whiteboxed scene in UDK. From…
Hi all. I'm working on my first full scene in UDK. My two main goals with this project are to practice building an environment with modular pieces and making a wide variety of foliage. My progress so far: For the building, I used Humayun's Tomb in Delhi as a reference.…
