I am baking color ID's to vertex colors, but when I go to object mode, I cannot see my vertex colors anymore. Is there a way to either - See vertex colors outside of vertex paint mode? - Not clear color ID's when baking to vertex colors so I can still visualize them?
I wasn't too sure whether it's related to the missing vertex bug or not (that sometimes your vertex dot didn't display, therefor you cant select vertex even though you're on vertex sub-object mode), but you can try to convert it to mesh then back to poly, at least it fix the missing vertex bug for me.
Is it possible to use vertex tinting per mesh without said mesh needing that to be setup in its material and exported from Max? I'd much prefer to be able to import a mesh with a typical shader then just tint the vertex with the vertex paint tool. Is this possible? Or, like the modulated texture blend, does my mat need to…
I'm experiencing an issue where a vertex in my model is spiking out from the mesh. When I turn off the sculpt layers and smooth the vertex on the base mesh it will go away, but when I turn the sculpt layers back on it reappears. If I try and smooth the vertex in a sculpt layer Mudbox crashes. Anyone know a workaround?
I was wondering if there is a way to get vertex lighting to show up with the DX display of Standard Material option checked on in Max. Because I have vertex lighting on this violin Im working on and as soon as I turn on DX display it takes off the vertex lighting. also how do I get the alphas to work with DX display on?
Hi, I'am planning a level inside ue4 and I would like to use vertex painting on walls to blend multiple materials together. I do know that I'll need a fair amount of vertexes to have nice results when blending the materials, but, should I disable LODs for assets that will have vertex painting ?
What is Vertex Painting / Vertex Coloring? Which software supports them? Oh, I also need to know how to do this? (Picture below) I saw that the bending thing (dont even know what this is called exactly) is possible In 3DS Max. I know it is possible in game engines too. How about Maya?
Already some years I work with vertex color under Maya and it will create shit render with the x-ray mode in the viewport. I would like to know if there is a solution about it or I have to create a patch detecting if there is vertex color and I switch on the vertex color transparency. Let me know.... Thanks! :)
