Hello again! Done some more work on this project since my last update, even doing some lighting tweaks as I wasn't fully happy with the super soft lighting of my original setup. Here are my shots so far that I want to push further and focus the detail on, based on what's in frame here. The task I put the most time into for…
Thought I would share with you guys a 3D Printing piece that I worked on as a surprise for my girlfriend. This is Bandana Waddle Dee from the Kirby video games I digitally sculpted him in Zbrush and engineered him for print. I then printed him on my Prusa i3 MK2S, primed and sanded him and then painted him with acrylics.…
I really don't know if there's any special trick to enhance it; they're most certainly also baking gradient maps and using them with the Point Light Maps to push the value gradation. Other than also manually painting lighting in the diffuse by using more saturated versions of the colors, there probably isn't much to it. I…
Anyone know of any 3D paint software that supports the use of multiple UVW sets within the same material? I need to paint an un-tiled mask between two tiled color textures, for landscape blending in a game. Here's an example, created in 3ds Max: One 1024^2 color texture (rocks) is tiled in UV space 15 times across the…
Well, it took some time but I finally uploaded them ALL today using my colleges fast internet speed HAHAHUHA! MUST READ: I only did one plank and copied it.. this was done for time, the point was to get the process across. I'm just going to upload them and then comment them all with an explanation of each part when I can.…
Multi-tile UVs are exackalackaly what you need! Put a UV island on each tile (0-1 UV is considered one tile), make the size of each tile's texture be 2k or 4k, and paint them with a tool that supports it well. http://store.steampowered.com/app/289550/ ^ Good painting tools, layer system, and shaders, up to 6x 4k textures…
I've been running into some odd problems losing my vertex colors on meshes that I'm painting. After painting a mesh, sometimes I'll lose all of the data I just painted. It's pretty frustrating, as I'm painting four channels of data on large mesh assets. I'm painting at the instance level, not on the mesh asset itself.…
I am trying to do some weight painting on my model. So I have Envelope selected and the bone selected and finally Paint Weights selected so I can paint values for this particular bone. But for the life of me I cant figure out out to paint exactly the value I want. I unselected "paint blend weights" Where is the ability to…
So I am ALMOST ready to color print out my sculpture but I am officially stuck on this next step. I have poly painted the sculpture and merged all the sub tools into one tool, ran the dynamesh thing which reduced the poly count significantly while still preserving most of the poly paint information. Now I am left with a…
Hi everyone, Just wanted to share a project I've been working on—a stylized, modular medieval city built for Unreal Engine 5. My main goal was to achieve a vibrant, anime/Ghibli-inspired aesthetic while keeping everything extremely optimized for real-time performance. Everything is modular, from the structural pieces to…
