So maybe it's a stupid question but - how to know is Modifier instance or unique in modifiers stack? Please help. -

modifying instanced object
is there some way i can add a modifier (like bend) to an object that is instanced, without making it unique but also without adding the modifier to all the instanced objects.. when i try to add it, it gets added to all instanced objects :( using 3ds max -

Re: Using Edit Mesh/Poly modifier when unwrapping
It does work. Slight problem is you can't detach anything from the model after you've added the Edit Poly modifier to the stack. 3DSMax - Collapse to and Edit_Poly modifier?
Does anyone know of a script/plugin that would make this possible? I'd like to be able to collapse modifiers down to top Edit Poly modifier instead of just the base Editable Poly, but afaik it can't be done by default in Max. -
