I see no options on OBJ export dialog:\ While Max's obj import dialog offers importing smoothing groups! But no smoothing groups appear to be in the result.
Export as an OBJ and import into Max. If the Max obj importer is giving you problems, try FBX. If that is still giving problems, try the guruware Max obj importer. Are you sure you are ready for an art test if you don't know how to do this? Well, good luck anyway.
Hi all, so fbx or obj type of files, in doubt when importing files from 3dsmax into keyshot for quick render. Are there any pros and cons ? any advices?
hey guys, It seems that when I want to import/append a subtool in Zbrush the geometry's placement will be off. Some of the imported .obj's will import fine but others will be slightly off.
very welcome, if you need to do this to a long list of objects the script could handle that aswell. Select your faces in each object select them all and run this. I havent tested the new bit (on a mac so no max) but its simple stuff so it should work for obj in selection do(aFaces = (polyOp.getFaceSelection obj) as…
You can still get things from Blender to ZBrush without GoZ; it's just a bit more of a hassle. Export the object as an obj, then import the obj into ZBrush.
