I am painting a shiled in substance painter. I apply some alpha maps as patterns as only height map active and get nice bump results. But i also want some rust, paint etc like deformations on edges of applied mask. How can i do that.

whenmaking normal maps in max 7 i get shity warped pinching in the maps which makes it look suck, i take the same thing using kaldera and in many fewer steps have pretty nice clean normal maps, why is the max one sucking?

Something I've been working with just to do some quick scenery. I feel that it is nearly complete. I see several trouble spots with the textures in this pic: the front step, the sides of the porch. I am also working up a normal map to make the boards pop a bit. All criticism appreciated.
