I have the basics down in C# from classes I've taken in Unity and Visual Studio in the past. However, I've never messed with hex editing before. But I am definitely willing to learn. If anything, learning about hex will help me understand game design a lot more. And as I said in the OP, I just want to make a small fan…
Yeah ... did the same each weekend when i met with my friend who owned a ZX Spectrum already. Was a great teamwork training, one reading the hex value column after hex value column out loud ( i think each line was followed by a checksum value ) and the other one typing the numbers in. And then another game came to…
@rollin in MaxScript color.r should return a float between 0-255. And it auto converts to an int when needed. @MrQuetch You may need to provide some sample files. This code snippet works me. (I just had to change "heightmap.bin" to "$temp/heightmap.bin") But it writes the bytes, and I can read them back in as ints. I…
To simplify what HEx said, find yourself some decent photographic reference (fineart.sk is generally a good starting point) and work from that. Doesn't Ursus mean bear in Latin?
The advantage of all these new packages - Modo, Silo, Hex - is that they are new. They are taking all the great features that we know and love, putting a new spin on them, and removing all the bloat.
Much better color scheme! I think it would be beneficial to change the leather straps to a more nylon or hex type material. Other than that it's coming along quite nicely.
Nice mockup; thank you Renaud. Wasn't sure people cared about hex entry but I guess it's easy enough to add. And the recently used colors thing is a genius idea.
Mine is the text "Kill your parents!!!" (capitalization may differ) converted into Hex using the ASCII values. That's why I hope your subconsious knows neither hexadecimal nor ASCII.
Woah, that is a lot of people, congratulations. I'm curious how you marketed it? If you haven't thought of this, perhaps setting the picked colour HEX code into the clipboard, for easy pasting into other programs.
