Uving hard edges
Apologies for two posts in a row... I was wondering if anyone had any advice for UVing the hair here! I heard the rule that all hard edges should be uv seams...however the hair here is stylized and has a lot of bevels so I'm worried that there'll be too many pieces...should i just soften some of the edges or just ignore… -

this is pretty old, but I encountered hard edges that wouldn't switch to soft & no other fixes listed here worked. however, when I simply deleted one of the faces that the problem edge was supporting, and then filled the gap in again with Bridge, it behaved like any other edge from that point. also leads me to believe it… -

Mixing triple edges technique with creased edges

Can I break edge flow on sharp edges in a static mesh?
Hi, Is the continous mesh any better than the split one? In case of my modular building, a split mesh has 25% less triangles. Dividing edges and then removing doubles also takes a lot of time. Are there any reasons to use a continous mesh? Just an example, not the real mesh: -
