Hey, gonna be posting in-progress shots of a next-gen skateboard I'm working on to try out PBR for the first time. The model is 13,000~ tris and at the moment I'm working on getting the normals nailed so that I can then put it into Quixel (so I wanna make sure I have perfect normals, object normals and AO bake before I…
Decided to throw off the blue paint as i liked it more how metal looked, so i put up some metal in there, worked some more on the fragmentation part material. Basic gloss map going on now, i want to get more practice with gloss as i suck with them.
I'm working on a hard surface sculpt in zbrush and it's sitting around 14mil polys right now. Bringing that many polys into max will probably cause me some problems. So if i decimate the meshes a bit and use those to bake as the HP meshes will that cause me baking artifacts or a bad bake? I brought in a meshes that was…

This here is a JVC 3100 Video Pod from the 1970s. It's cool and worthy of being modelled, so I'm doing that. Please click links for larger res. High Res High Res I'm happy enough with how it's turned out in the render but have I got too much detail in there for a decent bake? The vents in particular I've already noticed…

This is what I want my barrel to look like. I like the weathering on the wood and metal and I like the shape. I tried to replicate it as best…
Hey guys, So I've been trying to learn Maya recently. Figured I should do some sort of small project to learn the ropes of the program. Right now I've mostly finished the back end and am slowly working on refining the front. I couldn't find a non destructive workflow like I use in Blender so instead I'm just creasing the…
