Hey guys, I have just started a piece within udk I fancied having a go at. I have decided to try and create an Italian street scene and hope I can gather some helpful crits here along the way :) Here is an initial composition shot I liked the look of and I would like to recreate something similar.
Hello everyone! We're a team at an art school making a min-UDK game! It'll essentially be a modified TDM, but we will have custom weapons, characters, environment, and animations. We decided here would be a great place to collect all our progress work, and to get feedback from the awesome Polycount community. This is just…
Hello, I'm studying Game Art and Design at SCAD currently. Recently took my first Maya class so I figured I would post up my initial work I'm most proud of. I'm a bit nervous...so I hope all goes well. C&C welcome.
Hello polycounters! I'm Seth and this is my first post on your boards. This is a character I am working on for my Character Modeling class. She doesn't have hair or clothes yet, and the "eyelids" are temporary. I'm looking for any sort of critique and/or feedback. I really appreciate your time and thoughts. Initial retopo…
Hello, everyone! This is my first shot in handpainting. Would love to hear some feedback. There was no specific concept I went by, except for some basic sketches. Diffuse texture is 1024. Initially I planned to reduce it to 512 after finishing, but I decided not to, just so you can see and point out my mistakes easier.…
Finally figured out where I'm going with this. Although I haven't played her much lately, Diana was my first main and my first love in League. Plus, you know, Halloween and such. So, Day of the Dead Diana! :) First, initial concepts: Still need to do concepts for her scythe, but I'm pretty happy with where this is going…
Here it is. I thought perhaps my initial model was too low poly and maybe that was what was causing problems so I increased the polys by a bit but apparently that wasn't the issue. In my first attempt I didn't get those lines but I still had weird artifacts in the curved part :/
Update: Fortnite's Epic Games brings Apple legal fight to Australia Well this was an interesting development, I had overlooked. It now appears Tim Sweeney has chosen to expand litigation in Australia specifically, due too it's strong legal system and regulatory framework, by initiating legal proceedings in the Federal…
@KristaW -- Interesting, I had a similar idea, but I don't have a mod team. I agree with the suggestions about the wrinkles. I glossed over them initially. I will be adding detail to them (non-symetrically) when I get around to it. Send me a message about your game!
Hey guys, so I've received feedback that the polys on the cushion is a bit too high. I initially did it on purpose so that the silhouette looks good in my portfolio but it seems I went a bit overboard lol. I'll try and avoid such mistake next time! But for now, here is the finished piece!
