Heya, Anyone know of a DX shader I could plug in to max to see some modulated texture blending? E.g.: http://www.chrisalbeluhn.com/UDK_Advanced_Vertex_Painting.html
Been asked to save textures in Bitmap Format and am a bit confused as have never done this before (usually it's tga, tiff, png or jpeg). The only option I see in Photoshop is 'Portable Bitmap (.PBG .PGN .PPM .PNM .PFM .PAM) Is that the right one? edit : hold on, it's .BMP isn't it?

Okay I swear I knew the work around for this but I'm brain dead today...I'm trying to RTT a diffuse map from my hi-poly mesh to lo-poly, but showing up in the baked texture are black spots where the lo-poly is covering up the hi-poly. I thought there was a way of stopping the lo-poly affecting light etc during the bake?
Hi! Haven't been on the forums in a while. Good to be back! I'm looking for some good hand painting texture tutorials.
