UPDATE: Thank you to everyone that messaged me! We'll be spending the next few days reviewing everyone's portfolios.

******************************

Hello! We have a product called Modus VR, a tool that helps home theater installation companies design and review rooms with their clients before construction has begun. We're growing rapidly and need some outside help to get more real-world products into VR. These consist mostly of consumer electronics, like projectors and speakers. We're looking for an artist to develop a long-term relationship with, starting with just a few 3d models but hopefully sending more regular work to you over time.

In most cases, the manufacturers provide us with high quality CAD files and reference images. We need a 3D artist to create a simplified mesh, do normal and AO bakes, and texture it with high-end VR in mind. All users of our product have a GTX 1080 or higher, so the artist can keep quite a bit of detail on each model. These are meant to be viewed up close with great scrutiny.

Finally, because these CAD files may contain trade secrets from the manufacturer, the artist must be willing to sign an NDA indicating they will not share the CAD files.

We'll deliver:
- CAD from manufacturer, typically in STEP format or something similar
- Reference photos or links to the product's web page

Preferred software experience:
- 3DS Max
- Substance Painter
- UE4*

The artist will deliver all source files, including:
- Simplified mesh with clean quads, so a quick CAD > Mesh conversion probably won't work unless you've done significant clean up
- Substance painter files and any substances created
- 4k bakes and textures
* Bonus points if you're familiar with UE4 and want to create materials and instances. Some products have different color/texture options, so delivering this built in would be nice but not required. Even more bonus points if you're familiar with master materials and functions and wanted to help create a growing library of them for reuse.

Deadline:
- Our deadlines are typically soft. We'd prefer a week or two turnaround and it can be longer if needed.

If interested, please send me a message. If possible, please provide some portfolio examples and hourly rates!
