Vids are captured with FRAPS, de-codec'd with virtualdub, and then finally output with Quicktime pro... so the only thing you should need is quicktime and that's it. As for the the compression and framerate, I'm gonna have to play around a bit to try and get something that wont slow to a crawl every time I record. Trust me…
i don't know why this is even debatable or debated, or for that matter why one comment should discourage someone from using the quicktime format. Letting the viewer scrub back and forth is the single most important thing to presenting a showreel. Bloody well use quicktime.
