Not sure if the title is worded correctly, but here's my issue. I have a spline in the shape of flames from Illustrator that I need to convert into geometry to add onto a cylinder. For what I'm working on, I can't alter the original spline, except to help bend/wrap it around the cylinder. If I convert it to an Editable…

How can I make real-life size screws in 3DS-Max, and I think another way to solve it is to design your own screw and 3D print it in steel. The product needed to be screwed is it going to absorb a lot of force(aeronautics)(10G force at least). Would it be more preferable to model the object(steel) to fit the real-life…
Nice...very! looking at her hairline scar? - now I'm only referencing real world tattoo application and not by any means questioning your artistic direction / aesthetic of this piece so merely a suggestion. I ultimately didn't get the offer, so I'd…
Just place the UV's how normal would if you were applying a tile material, and then translate the UV's slightly to the left or right to get the effect you are looking for. Then once you export the wall/pillar/etc. with the slightly shifted UV's, that's how it will show up in Unreal. I hope that makes sense. If not I can…
Thanks for the reply. 1. What use cases would I use creasing for over the other 2 options? It seems to be used for keep certain edges sharp and hard. but by that logic wouldn't it only apply to weapons or props with blades or something sharp? In the reference below, the artist mentioned the high poly is a mix of subD and…
That's probably an issue with bone orientation.... But the second image, looks like you are doing the IKhandle between the clavicle and the wrist bone, should be from the shoulder bone to the wrist bone. Be sure to have your shoulder bone, elbow bone and wrist bone to the same orientation(same axis rotation), so when you…
